Welcome to our new blog! In case you are not familiar with The Westchester Review, here is a brief introduction:
The Westchester Review is a literary journal that is published annually. The editors welcome previously unpublished stories, essays, plays, and poems by established and emerging writers in the Westchester County area of New York. It began on a conversation between our publisher, JoAnn Duncan Terdiman, and her daughter on a summer evening:
“There are so many gifted writers here in the county. Wouldn’t it be something if there were a journal for the many voices of Westchester?” They looked at each other and said, “Why not?”
We have just published our 2014 issue, which is our seventh edition, and are looking for submissions for our 2015 issue as well as for our Writers Under 30 Contest.
What you will find on this blog are promotional blurbs about the review and its contests as well as posts about our readings, and perhaps some quotes and excerpts from our latest edition. Stay tuned!
